Driving to Blackburn
|
Picking up one of WHO's finest around Epping sort of way which leaves 2 options:
M1/M6 Toll
Or
M11/A1M to Leeds, left and over.
There's about 1 minutes in the quoted journey time and a similar difference.
No issue with the toll or anything like that, just wondering for anyone that tends to drive in that direction what way you'd go!
I always look to avoid the M25 but hopefully around half 7 am, it'd be fine.
Irons.

I'll be going M5, M6 (no toll) if that helps.

Is there still a long stretch of 50 limit on the M1 between Nottingham and Leeds? I'd still be tempted go that way and avoid any part of the M6.

Where the M1 and M6 meet there is about 15 miles of roadworks - well worth avoiding.

I've just checked this and the best route is definitely via SE1. Borough to be precise.

I'm not a good passenger Kaka and there's no trains on GA this weekend.

Speaking of which, I no longer require my train ticket if anyone wants it?
Leaves Euston at 08:45 and leaves Blackburn at 17:30.

Wouldn't go via Leeds.
M62 grinds to a halt at the first hint of snow and it's supposed to be a bit cold up here this coming week.

I could imagine HH being the sort of bloke who would date rape, kill, chop up and then eat his victims.
You'll probably be in his freezer in a couple of weeks Brucies
enjoy the game

What's the parking like? I honestly cannot remember where we parked last time, up the top of the hill isn't it and you walk down to that pub?

Can't see the point in the date rape Davies, I'll just bore him to death with my witty banter.
Eat him? I'm not an animal.

I live up north & would avoid M6 like the plague
I usually head over towards Leeds then A1 if going south these days
Think we're due for some snow later in the week & getting across the Pennines in bad weather can be a real mare (the M62 is quite high above sea level)

M1, A50 then M6 from Stoke. Never really had any problems with this route.
